COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEETING.

Thank you for taking time to look at our website.

Lambhill & Disctrict Community Council is a voluntary, non-political organisation. Our role is to represent opinions from local people and businesses of Lambhill and the surrounding areas. Issue such as planning, licensing and Police matters are part of what is discussed at our monthly meetings.  

Our aim is to improve the wellbeing for all that live and work in the neighbourhood,  making Lambhill a place that is welcoming and safe for all. 

Is there anything that you would like to see in the area that you live or work in?  If so come along to the next Community Council (2nd Wednesday of each Month). Meetings are held in the Lambhill Stables, 11 Canal Bank North (on the canal bridge). , starting at 7pm. Come along your views are important to continually improve our area.

14 MAY 2016 LAMBHILL STABLES OPEN DAY

Come along an join in the fun at the Lambhill Stables open day on Saturday 14 May starting at 11am until 3pm. With barge tours, kayaking, cycling, talks & walks, art exhibition, community cafe and so much more...hopefully the Clydesdale Horse will be making a guest appearance! There is something going on for all ages and taste. A great day out is guaranteed.

Sustainable Drainage on Balmore Road/Lambhill Cemetery. 

Information received from Land & Enviromental Services in respect of Lambhill Cemetery advising that preliminary works to implement a sustainable drainage system within the cemetery is schedule to begin on 1st February 2016

Anniesland-Queen Street Train Distruptions from
20 March until 8 August 2016

During this time Queen St high level station will be closed. Our trains will be down to one per hour. Confirmation has still to be agreed on routes trains will take, most likely, it will involve travelling either west to Anniesland and changing trains there to reach Queen St low level, or travelling Eastbound to Springburn and again changing trains to Queen St low level. Sunday services between Anniesland & Queen Street will terminate and will start from Ashfield. Passengers travelling from  Possilpark & Parkhouse should travel west to Anniesland and change trains to reach Glasgow Queen St.

Music Night 1st  Friday of the month from 7pm

Keep posted on monthly music nights by contacting Eddie or Lucie at the Stables.

Let's get active. Lambhill Active are running various outdoor activities for all ages. 

Cycle Tours Saturday 10am-1pm
£3 for Adults and £2 for children - no need to have your own bike as helmets and cycles provided for the duration of the tour.

Canoeing Tuesdays from 20 May-Sept  5.30-7pm
£5 for Adults and £3 for children.

Bike Servicing and Repairs Mon 10am-4pm and Fridays 10am-1pm

 Toddler club

Every Tuesday from 10am-12 Noon a Parent/Carer & Toddler Club will run in the Lambhill Stables.  Both outdoor and indoor activities planned along with story telling and songs.  Come along and meet new friends.

Possil Marsh

is a nature reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest, of both flora and fauna, situated behind the Lambhill Stables. There is a walk way leading from the canal path that will take you around the March. The reserve contains a monument for the High Possil meteorite, which fell there in 1804.

Lambhill has an active Local Community Council campaigning for a better environment for all in the Lambhill area. You are all welcome to attend our monthly meetings – even if you are not a member. Meetings are held on 2nd Wednesday of every month (except July) 7pm at Lambhill Stables

Ruchill Golf Course

Colin Montgomerie helped design this fantastic new course in the north of the city. It's already received rave reviews in the short period it's been open.

The 9 holes offer a wide variety of challenges for experts and novices alike.
